Jamaica Beach is a beautiful coastal town located on the western end of Galveston Island. It was officially recognized in 1975 and today is considered one of the safest places to live on the island. You can get to Jamaica Beach via Termini-San Luis Pass Rd and turning onto Buccaneer Dr. From there, park and enjoy the sand in your toes.
Being down on the west end of the island, Jamaica Beach is a bit removed from some of the crowds like East Beach and Stewart Beach. Even though there may be smaller crowds, parking can be tight and there may be a walk to find your own little beach paradise to spread out on. Jamaica Beach is a wonderful beach to go to relax, find seashells, throw a frisbee, and take your furry friend for a walk.

Known for being a vibrant housing community with beautiful beaches offering opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. The town is home to the Jamaica Beach City Park, which features a playground, picnic areas, and a pavilion available for rental. They also have a public swimming pool. There is a paved boat ramp, Regatta Basin, on Basin Dr near Jolly Roger Rd, which provides access to canals that lead to West Bay.
