Island District: Seawall
8628 Seawall Blvd, Galveston, TX 77554
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Galveston West-Seawall Description
Traveling to Galveston on business shouldn’t mean you can’t enjoy your surroundings. Whether you are here for Galveston College, Texas A&M at Galveston, American National Insurance, University of Texas Medical Branch, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, or the U.S. Coast Guard, there is a 24-hour business center on-site and a 1,500 sqft meeting room that can accommodate up to 150 people.
Once you are done with business, venture out and see what the island has to offer. Nestled on a side street not far away is Galveston’s own Galveston Island Brewing. Founded in 2014, they brewed over 5,000 barrels in 2021. Viet-Cajun is also nearby, where you can get your fix of crawfish, in season, but they do sell out fast. They offer a variety of fried and grilled seafood, as well as burgers, wings, and starters. Should you want to venture out for a drink and some live music with a view, Woody’s Bar offers beautiful views and cold drinks. Be aware, however, that they do not serve food. You could stop right across the street at Cooper’s Landing first for some surf and turf and enjoy the view of the Gulf from their patio.
If you have the kids with you then you may want to check out a few nearby attractions. The Batting Gages has seven batting cages and Magic Carpet Golf has two 18-hole Golf Courses. Both are great for family fun. They are both open daily, though hours are subject to change. Galveston Go Karts and Fun Center features go-karts, arcades, bumper cars, axe throwing, a virtual reality arena cage, and a virtual reality roller coaster. They also offer Military and Senior discounts.
Included in your stay are free wifi, a free hot breakfast, a 24-hour gift shop, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool and whirlpool.
