Dinning

At Norwegian, we offer a dining experience like no other. Whether you crave a four-course feast with a fine bottle of wine or a freshly grilled burger, we’ve got you covered. Dress casually or formally, dine with friends or make new ones. You can choose to savor your meal indoors or by the ocean along The Waterfront. With our exclusive Freestyle Dining, there are no fixed dining times or assigned seating – just the freedom to follow your mood, not a schedule.

On all our ships, you’ll discover up to three Main Dining Rooms, a buffet, and a range of casual eateries. Our skilled chefs create original dishes using the finest ingredients, allowing your dining experience to be as elegant or as casual as you desire.

Main Dining Rooms:

Select from up to three main dining rooms featuring a diverse array of delicious dishes, both modern and classic, all crafted with the freshest ingredients.

Beyond Buffets:

Our crowd-favorite buffet is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering delights like a meat carving station and made-to-order omelets, all complimentary.

24 Hour Eatery:

Enjoy classic pub fare in a relaxed setting, featuring favorites like the Reuben Sandwich and Fish n’ Chips.

SPECIALTY DINING:

For a unique culinary adventure, our specialty restaurants cater to a wide range of tastes. Thanks to The Norwegian Edge, we’ve elevated our dining experience with enhanced menus and exciting new venues. Indulge in succulent meats at Moderno Churrascaria, relish French cuisine at Le Bistro, or savor fresh Mexican flavors at Los Lobos. Our menus are as fresh as the ingredients, and the cuisine is almost too beautiful to eat.

FAMILY DINING:

Freestyle Dining ensures there’s something to please every member of the family, from the pickiest eaters to the most adventurous. Grab a hot-off-the-grill burger or opt for an elegant four-course meal. Dress up or down – the choice is yours. With a variety of dining options that outnumber the days of your cruise, you’re free to savor them all on your own schedule.

Dress Code

When it comes to what to wear, you can go resort casual or get decked-out and look your best – it’s your call. That’s the freedom of Freestyle Cruising. We even have special “Dress-Up or Not Night.” It’s the perfect opportunity to get your portrait taken with your family, that special someone or even with the ship’s Captain.

Cruise Casual: the Freedom of Freestyle Cruising

Dress cruise casual anytime during the day, in the buffet and in most specialty restaurants. For women, it includes summer and casual dresses, skirts, regular or capri pants, shorts, jeans and tops. Khakis, jeans, shorts and casual shirts are fine for men. Swimwear is acceptable at the buffet and outdoor restaurant, but a shirt or a cover-up and footwear are required.

Be sure to pack a sweater — the air conditioning can be chilly. Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear shorts in all our restaurants.

Please Note: We want you to be comfortable, but tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, visors and jeans that are overly faded, with holes or tears and worn below the hips are not permitted in main dining rooms or specialty restaurants.

All Decked-out: Smart Casual

Dress smart casual in our more upscale specialty restaurants. For women, it includes slacks or jeans, dresses, skirts and tops. For men, it’s jeans or slacks with a collared shirt and closed-toed shoes. Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear shorts in all our restaurants.

Ready for Adventure: Shore Excursions

Think about the shore excursions you’ll be taking and pack accordingly, including comfy walking shoes. For kids and adults it’s good to pack a pair of closed-toed shoes. You can check within the specific shore excursion for more information.

Special Events: Theme Nights and Parties

Our newest event, Norwegian’s Night Out, is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up for an evening of cocktails, fine dining and great entertainment. You may also want to pack an all-white ensemble for our iconic White Hot Party.

Specialty Dining Packages

With a Specialty Dining Package (SDP), you can conveniently sample a wide array of unique restaurants for one set price. Customize your experience by selecting the number of meals you want during your cruise. Go medium-rare at Cagney’s Steakhouse, savor délicieuse French cuisine at Le Bistro or try succulent Brazilian barbecue meats at Moderno Churrascaria. The choice is yours and the flavors endless!
