Here, you will have an opportunity to see various livestock including sheep, goats, cattle, swine, rabbits, and poultry. You will also learn about what qualities livestock judges look for in animals and the differences between breeds- an educational experience you and your family are sure to remember!

The Galveston County Fair and Rodeo is also home to annual BBQ and Seafood cook-offs. Cook-off contestants compete in categories including Seafood Gumbo, Grilled Shrimp, BBQ Chicken, Brisket, and more. At the GCFR cook-offs, you will witness the making of some of the best BBQ and Gulf Coast Seafood that Texas has to offer!
